Mr. Beer Octoberfest’s Vienna Lager Refill Brew Pack Review
Makes a medium dark beer. It’s not a true lager, because the yeast cultures at a higher temp, but it certainly makes a good beer. Small note: I “proofed” the yeast separately in some warm water in the can with leftover mix; ALL the water in a large pot with the mix, brought up to temp, stirred well and then left the wort to cool to ~100 degrees Fahrenheit before pouring into the brew keg and pitching the yeast. It was ready to bottle condition eight days later. Note: I’ve gotten consistently better bottle conditioning when using my “collection” of Grolsch swingtop bottles. Recommended. (Besides, they bottle 16oz instead of 12… 
)
